The rules that can fail a Goat Funded Trader account or cost you a payout, for each of its 11 programmes: daily loss, maximum loss, news, weekends and payouts. Checked against Goat Funded Trader’s own pages on 26 October 2026.

3% daily · 6% static max loss · 10% target

Account sizes: $5K, $8K, $10K, $15K, $25K, $50K, $100K, $150K, $200K
Profit target: Evaluation 10%
Trading days: 3 profitable days per phase, each closing at least 0.5% of the account in profit.
Daily loss limit: 3% of the higher of the day’s opening balance or equity. Hitting it fails the account. The day resets at 5 PM New York time.
Maximum loss: 6% of the starting balance. The floor never moves.
News, evaluation: Profit from a trade opened or closed within 5 minutes of high-impact news is capped at 1% of the account. The account isn’t failed.
News, Funded: Profit from a trade opened or closed within 5 minutes of high-impact news is capped at 1% of the account. The account isn’t failed.
Weekend holding: Allowed.
Other limits: On the Funded, combined risk on open trades may not reach 2% of the account. On the Funded, profit above $3K in one day is removed. 30 days without a trade ends the account.
